In his own words..

Before my talks with Hilary I was jobless and broken. I was spending what little money I had on nicotine, alcohol, weed and other substances just to blind myself from the reality of my circumstances. I grew up angry, insecure and envious, influenced by crime, drug use and instability. This cycle followed me into my early twenties and cost me friendships, relationships and success.

My shift in life started when I began to make connections. One of the strongest connections I made was with Hilary. Her presence was genuine. I felt relief realizing I could share my struggles with someone unbiased. We listened to each other and gave each other unsugarcoated feedback. She questioned my decisions, kept me in check and gave me genuine hope. I learned the tool of communication and vulnerability.

Over time my new thinking habits helped me form a consistent routine for self care. I reminded myself that my life was a clock for impact. Hilary helped with those reminders. I lost the appetite for highs and found peace in making genuine improvements. I now have a high paying, respectable job and real friends. My bank account has had the most money in it in my entire life. Progress is not about others, progress is about yourself.

You can be heard, but is whoever hearing you truly listening. Hilary proved that my words deserved real consideration. She is not a person who will brush you off or tell you what you want to hear. Honesty is compassion. I’ve been homeless and hopeless. For the longest time I thought I had to keep everything inside. If you say you don’t need anyone you are lying to yourself. Talking to Hilary broke my cycle and changed my life. Everyone needs help.
